Throughout April and May 2026, there will be minor disruptions to depot operations across Canberra while we upgrade our machines to the latest container counting technology.
While each depot is being upgraded, the container counting machines will be temporarily unavailable.
You can still return eligible containers using the bag drop service, or our team will manually count and process your return and provide a cash refund on the spot.
Please allow extra time, as manual counting may cause delays and some additional noise on site.

- Belconnen – Monday 20 April – Tuesday 28 April
- Fyshwick – Wednesday 29 April – Wednesday 6 May
- Mitchell – Thursday 7 May – Sunday 17 May
